About Me

I'm Tom Tang. Strange if True is where I think out loud — half-formed ideas, fully committed. Mostly philosophy, history, markets, and technology, plus whatever else won't leave me alone.

The name is a nod to how the best ideas tend to feel before they're obvious: a little absurd, a little suspect — the kind of thing that would be strange, if true. I'd rather chase those down than play it safe.

None of this is advice of any kind. It's just me working things out in public, and being wrong in interesting ways.
